Finding Ways Of Being Of Service To Others
is one of the best ways of helping ourselves.
Our lives today are filled with “To Do Lists”, it is sometimes difficult for us when we are interested in finding ways of being of service to others. The truth is when we find ways of helping others, we are actually helping ourselves. There is no better feeling in my heart than when I know that what I have done has helped another person, animal or our world. It is a feeling that comes from deep inside, which gives me a smile like no other feeling in this world does. I guess I tricked you a bit with the featured image, but you must admit, that lady needs help!
I follow so many wonderful people on Facebook that are dedicated to helping animals, children and others in need. The world is not an easy place to live for many of us today. Understanding this, and going the extra mile to be of service is a blessing that we, as humans, can do to make life better for others. These blessing can come in simple ways, including a simple smile. There are also small things we can do like helping neighbors, giviing food to a food bank, or giving our gently used clothes to those that need them.
By each of us finding ways of helping others in our own special way, we are creating a better life for ourselves and others. Brendon Burchard says it best when he discusses looking back on our lives, and asking the life questions: “Did I Live?” “Did I Love?”, and “Did My Life Matter?”
I personally believe that caring about each other is one of the most important things we are here to do in this lifetime. We must be careful not to lose ourselves in our personal survival and become fearful of others or judge others and their situations. Everyone has a story and everyone deserves a happy life.
We are seeing Mr. Keshe, Manoj Bhargara, and many others taking their time, money and effort to create this world’s situation for the better. For many years, our world has been controlled by greed, fear and competition for each other. Instead of opening our hearts to understanding that we all just want to have happy, healthy lives, we have let these negative feelings take over and divide us. This has led to anger, war, povery and a feeling that we need to protect ourselves from others. In fact, this has only made our lives more difficult. We tend to distrust first instead of embrace new people and ideas.
You, the human, have such wonderful skills and talents, many learned, but many of these talents came naturally to you at your birth. Finding ways of being service to others, using your own talents and skills is your unique way of creating abundance for yourself and those that need you. There is one caviat to this, and one must be careful when deciding how you will use your skills and talents. There are many ways you can be fooled into believing you are doing something good for others, when in, actuality, those that are living in greed and power are actually benefiting from the good that you are doing. Investigate carefully who or what the true nature of your choice to help others is really benefiting.
One of the first things I learned when I began working on the internet, is the idea of “working together” to create something better. In the beginning, I found this to be a new concept. Internet marketers were sharing their knowledge and their talents. By working together these individuals created better products and ways of sharing these new ideas with us. This is one of the reasons I love working on the internet so much. Of course, there is still the element of some marketers that are a bit loose with their ideas of adding value, and we all must be careful of those. There are many “bright shiney objects” of little value to be found.
Make some time to find a way to be of service to others and watch how you feel when you accomplish this. Your heart opens and a connection within begins to happen. I have found this to be true everytime I have taken the time to be of service and it is a feeling that I want more of in this life. Try it for yourself today.
