This is just a reminder blog that if you are thinking about Mentoring in 2022 — It Is Time To Get Started.
The need is Great and the rewards are Greater!!
Every year there are many resolutions made and many never even get started. Make this year the year you keep that resolution to Get Involved with helping others. We all have our passions and most of us have changes in our minds that we wish to see happen for the positive in our world and in our community.
If “helping others” is one of your new year’s resolutions, now’s the time to consider becoming a mentor. Research shows young people with mentors are less likely to skip school, less likely to take drugs, and more likely to enroll in college and volunteer in their communities.
January is National Mentoring Month, and there’s no shortage of ways for you to get involved.

Do you have ideas, skills, talents, experience and a desire to see change in our world? You can be an important part of another’s life and make changes in your own life. Helping others is a great way to feel your own life force running through your veins. Getting Involved is the key.

With funding being cut for many communities. Consider finding funding sources through Grants. There are many grants available and can be found to cover many of the issues that non profits, schools and social service groups are facing today. Mentors may be eligible to secure a grant. Through working with your local community groups, non-profits and finding out their needs, you can find just the right way to help.
Consider how you want to get involved today.
