My life has been all about helping others “get a job”. Before I began my own company, I counted that I had had, 18 jobs, plus many temporary jobs in college. I was never fired from a job, I just found that working for others was difficult for me. The jobs I loved did not pay me enough to live, but the jobs that paid well felt too restrictive.

As I began to closely look at how even my own company had actually become “a very confining, stressful job” in 2007, continuing with that job became more and more difficult. When 2009, became a reality, the job I was doing became distressingly more and more stressful, as no one was hiring, but still these companies wanted to go through all the motions. Being a straight commission business, my recruiting efforts were fruitless for the next 3 years.

Many of you are just beginning your career and looking for career builder ideas to help you move in the direction that is best for you. The following two Tedx talks are designed to inspire you to be the career builder you want to be — and follow your future to success.

For those of us that have fallen into the trap of “working in a job” and not following our hearts, I want to express how what you hear when you listen to your own inner voice is much more important that what you hear from others. Your career builder ideas should come from your own inner guidance and not from the outside world.
