We Are Connected By Love
Understanding that we are connected by love
is a truth that affects our freedom of thought.
Truth and Freedom are important words to many of us.
An important question: “What is more important “Truth” or “Freedom”?”
As Trey Gowdy explains in the following video, our own “truth” comes from what we believe and many of us have the same thoughts about basic truths, we just don’t know how or why we believe in these truths. It is important that we understand for ourselves why we believe something and be able to communicate to others why we believe in what we believe.
As we grow and mature some of the beliefs that we were taught over the years prove to be less important or even untrue according to our own personal perceptions. Even some of those beliefs that we so staunchly defended earlier in our lives, become less of a factor in our own belief system as we have experiences that make us begin to question our truths.
Diversity is a gift given to us. We learn from those things that are different from us. Consider how some of the things you understood as “unquestionably true”, sometimes become understandable or acceptable when viewed from another’s point of reference. Having an open mind, listening to new ideas and then making your own decisions through discernment may make change in your own truths. The Freedom to make such decisions for ourselves is a very important freedom of choice that has been given to us by our creator. We all have free will and free will is a gift that we should cherish.
Trey Gowdy’s Speech at Liberty University
Mr. Gowdy’s speech is very inspiring for all of us, especially to those that are just beginning their life as productive, effective beings ready to begin their lives on their own terms. Protecting our freedoms, understanding the value of diversity and being grateful for having the opportunities to create our own truths should never be taken for granted. We are all connected by love, as we were created by a loving creator that has given us opportunities to make our own way in this world, based on our own perceptions of truth.
Acting in a unified way, respecting that each one of us possesses the same rights and freedoms as the other brings more consciousness in our decisions about the beliefs we hold. Because one individual may believe differently than you, does not make them wrong, only different. This brings unity to all of us, when we understand that diversity is part of unity.
I hope you enjoyed Mr. Gowdy’s speech and that inspiration to be the best that you can be within yourself comes alive. Our perceptions of what is “right” and what is “wrong” may not always coincide, but the freedom to discern for oneself is what is truly important. I personally believe that harm, disrespect and control over others is an infringement on others. Each of us were born with the freedom to create our lives the way we feel reflects the best we can be. When we, in our truth, follow what our heart tells us is the “right thing”, and don’t unwittingly listen to outside influences, we are living within the parameters of love, not the rules and regulations of those outside of ourselves. Our heart connection is the connection to our source of creation. Always ask yourself, “how do I feel about this situation” and follow your internal answers, (your own truth).
Always remember – We are connected by love with everything that is.
Best of Luck Always.
