Environmental Impact of
Oil and Gas Industries
The environmental impact of oil and gas industries is something some of us did not notice, because it has been just part of our history, growing up. The thinking has been that any inconvenience, negative consequences, or even destructive actions involved in the production and use of oil and gas for energy, was just “Part of the oil and gas business“. Oil and gas has been a staple of humanity’s advancement in industry’s growth and society’s need for comfort and transportation.
However, it does not take much research to learn that individuals such as Nicolas Tesla found ways for us humans to have “free energy” available to us years ago. The greed associated with the oil and gas industries has created an acceptance by the population that destruction of many of our planet’s resources, including living, breathing creatures, is necessary because we need the products that these oil and gas industries provide for us. As they say, “It’s just business.”
Being born in an area that is known for businesses such as Texaco, Exxon, and Shell Corporation, acceptance of tar on our feet from the ocean, foul air smells from the refineries, oil spills and refinery explosions are simply common occurances. Therefore, it was only natural that as I began a recruiting career, I gravitated to placing people in oil and gas industries, to even include working directly for oil/gas related businesses over my past employment.
The enviromental impact of oil and gas industries is quite extensive. We may learn more about the damage that has been done as the years go by. As we are beginning to open our eyes and view consequences of our actions through our hearts, we recognize just what has been done over these many years and wonder how we will take control to give life back to our planet.
As we are experiencing more and more information regarding what is available to us relating to energy possibilities, we may feel the compulsion to move away from the destructive outcomes of the environmental impact of the oil and gas companies. There is a realization of the damage done by man’s complacency of what was being done to the planet, on which we call home, for so many years.
Realizing what we have let happen to our planet is only the first step. The next step is to find answers to stop creating such havoc, as well as make repairs to what we have done. The task involved for moving forward with positive, non-detrimental options is a serious issue. Many ideas are needed and many are stepping up to the plate.
I would like to share the following, which inspires hope for seeing our oceans and the creatures that live there live without harm to their very existance.
The Environmental impact of oil and gas is being addressed by young and old. Our mistakes can be cleaned up together.
The world is in this together. It is our planet and it is our home that we are all talking about here.
Wishing you much happiness and creative ideas for a better life for all living beings on our Mother Planet, Gaia.
Thanks for reading.
