Need Motivation To Get Involved?
Do you need a little motivation to get involved with your community in 2018? Getting involved with what is happening in our community can be as small as keeping a sweater in the back of our car in case we see someone that could use it. Getting involved can mean sharing ideas with others about how things can be done more effectively to help those in need, around us. Every community has specific needs. For instance in my area, there is a severe shortage of trust worthy babysitters. There are other needs, of course, and there are socially aware groups doing what they can to create solutions for these problems.
The New Culture of Sharing for 2018 that has evolved through our potentials for connections with others that are involved with problem-solving, opens many doors. Personally, I laughed at myself the other day, when my first reaction to trying to fix a printer problem was to go to Youtube and watch someone show me how to solve my problem. As we are solving our problems locally, we may find some of the solutions through others. Recently, our City Council took their own trip to the “big city” to see how innovations can add to an area. When there is a desire for change, we can find solutions today.
Passions and desire create action. Once you discover your passions or even Your Purpose.…….. What do you do next?
Finding others with the same passions, is not always easy, but well worth it.
The service to others paradigm is growing.
The knowledge that service to others is actually, in truth, service to ourselves is beginning to dawn on many people.
The truth is …………………. We are all in this together.

It is great to see my local community solving problems. It is also very heartwarming to hear stories of people (young and old) making a difference.
There seems to be a very positive interaction between some of our generations in 2018. There is an understanding between them, of a serious need for change. Not long ago, there was a period that saw a definite competition between our older folks and our younger folks. Much of that problem was due to the lack of job opportunities, and the discrimination betwee the people turning 50 in the market place. Many of those that were turning 50, are now in their 60’s or even 70’s and are no longer in the job market. Today, there seems to be an awareness between these generations, that we can work together and create a change that can benefit all of us living on this planet.
